In
January 1994, County Farm Centre
Ltd. opened its doors for the
first time. Owners Tim & Linda
Beatty and John & Rosemary Anderson
had purchased the United Co-operator's
property in Picton. With great
expectations a team of skilled
employees took up the challenge
of agricultural retail in Prince
Edward County.
This
unique operation encompasses crop
inputs, a retail store, livestock feed, and fuel
deliveries. Continuously changing
and advancing, County Farm Centre
strives to improve and introduce
new product lines. Recent product
line additions at County Farm
Centre are a complete pet care
centre and a wide selection
of frozen foods.
The
property and buildings have seen
many improvements; new windows,
new fertilizer storage building,
new siding as well as inside renovations.
In
September of 2002 County Farm
Centre purchased the former building
of Prince Edward Fruit Growers
Co-operative. This allowed our
storage area to expand. We have
worked to blend the existing architecture
with modern conveniences to enhance
your shopping experience.
